10/20/2011: Outreach Mission - CATECHISM AT NAGA CITY

Stills were shot during first catechism inside
a non-government office in Naga City,
Camarines Sur last October 20, 2011.

Naga is traditionally the heart of Bicol Region,
and it is a bustling city. This open- door of opportunity
is really God-ordained for us to plant the seed
of Orthodoxy.

It has been for years that we have been praying
for people who could serve as contacts,
as well as be part of the pioneering work
of the Orthodox Church. This happened when
the executive director of a small group of an
NGO (Non-Government Organization) staffs,
has found Fr. Chrysostom’s contact numbers.

He immediately contacted upon knowing that
Fr. Chrysostom is not just a mere pseudo
Orthodox priest but a canonical one and
especially under the jurisdiction of the
Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople,
and expressed his ardent inclination to be part
of the True Church.

He has done a long search
of the Pearl of Great Price- the Church of
Jesus Christ here on earth.  Persistent prayers
and faith-lead actions must really connive,
the Metropolitan’s approval and of course,
God, makes an unselfish ministry start.
With this new unfolding development, we need
to pray and ask the Lord’s mercy for guidance
and provisions, since the community of the
Holy Martyr St. Eleftherios Orthodox Church
do not have yet the financial capability for this
kind of mission.

Yes the community have enough lecturers
or catechists available, however, financial
and material support is also much needed.
Bicol region is already ripe for harvest.

With volunteer workers, and donors,
Naga City mission will be established.
All glory be to God!
